After many, many years of tumultuous on-again-off-again romance, Oliver Queen finally proposed to Dinah Lance and the coolest damn power couple in comics were headed for marriage. This TPB does a fantastic job of collecting the most important preceding issues surrounding this event and giving us the story in a neat little package. I had been looking for the 2007 Black Canary miniseries (my online comic vendor is out of issue 1) for some time. I ordered this book hoping to get caught up a bit on the happenings since my favorite Road to the Altar is a fun, uplifting collection of stories from the post-Infinite Crisis era that shows the progression of Green Arrow and Black Canary's relationship as they take the big step of getting engaged. After years of being on-again-off-again lovers (often with Green Arrow ruining things thanks to his notorious flirting), Oliver pops the question to a surprised Dinah. At first on edge and unwilling to answer, Dinah's response is side tracked by the arrival of Oliver's nemesis Merlyn who seeks to kidnap Dinah's ward for the League of Assassins. Oliver joins the fray to save the girl, but his risky plan to take down the League may drive a new wedge between him and his bride to be. The book also includes a fun, high-spirited annual that shows Oliver as the nagging groom-zilla while Dinah plays things aloof and postpones the actual planning. All in all, a lovely and bright book that celebrates the relationship between two of DC's mainstays who are so often inseparable.Big fan of arrow the tv show on cw so I thought I would like to read more green arrow I mostly read the main dc title but I'm glad I gave this a shot it's great, I love the green arrow/black canary chemistry definitely my highest recommendation if love the show arrow give this a try you'll love itOllie and Dinah's relationship has always been tumultuous and fun and this book illustrated that well. Even though the ending seemed obvious to me, I thought this was a blast. I loved looking back at their relationship (especially Babs' story). Tony Bedard did a great job capturing who these characters are. The art by Paulo Siqueira was very good. Overall, a great extension of the last Green Arrow series that had me smiling.Great tale of Black Canary and Green Arrow getting ready for their upcoming wedding while battling the League of Assassins. There's plenty of story here so I didn't feel shortchanged. The writing is fluid and the art is lovely. I don't normally talk like this but Dinah is HOT.I picked this up without knowing much back story at all and I liked it just fine. I'd recommend this to any open minded reader and definitely to any GA/BC fan.If you like this than pick up I can't really add much to what trashcanman said except that this book is a must have for any Black Canary or Green Arrow fan.I really enjoyed this comic. It is really fun and funny. The premise is, Ollie has proposed to Dinah but, she hasn't said yes or no. These two are my favourite couple in DC Comics and it's about time they got marries. This book is also the start of the Green Arrow-Black Canary series, which is really good as well.Exellent service, nice product.
